The Carrick Lane Residences is a new residential development that takes inspiration from the site's rich industrial history. The project, which consists of 19 triple-story residences, will provide a mixture of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units to create a diverse and thriving community The site was previously home to an industrial brick warehouse, which has now been demolished to make way for the new development. However, in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint of the project and maintain its connection to the site's past & sense of place, the cream bricks from the previous warehouse have been re-used The design of the Carrick Lane Residences incorporates a contemporary interpretation of an industrial saw tooth roof, which will be visible and appreciated from the elevated portion of Pascoe Vale Road located near the site. This design element, along with the exposed steel structure, serves to further reinforce the connection to the site's previous industrial use. The recycled bricks have been used in a variety of laying patterns to add depth and detail to the overall design In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the project will activate the previously disused Carrick Lane, contributing to the improvement of the local area. The combination of its historical roots and contemporary design make the Carrick Lane Residences a unique and impactful addition to the neighborhood.
